Keep in mind “Not everything that shines is made from gold,” , when you are shopping for groceries and labels read :
- “Low in carbs”
- “Will help reduce your cholesterol”
- “Gives you energy”
- “Fat free”
- “No sugar added”
They are not always made from the “right components”.
Due to deceptive nutritional labels and general lack of knowledge of where the hidden sugars are, people are eating far more sugar than they know.
When searching for sugar, you must also keep a vigilant eye out for High Fructose Corn Syrup (The consumption of High Fructose Corn Syrup not only exacerbates the obesity epidemic, it also harms organs like your liver and pancreas, leading to bone loss, anemia and heart problems, just to name a few.) also watch the amount you consume of those dangerous artificial sweeteners like NutraSweet, aspartame, splenda; and the vast numbers of additives, preservatives and artificial flavorings. These are included in a wide variety of foods that you might not normally suspect.
When consumed in excesive quantities, sugar causes hormonal changes that lead to overeating.
And don’t forget, carbohydrates found in processed foods, such as white bread and white rice, break down to glucose and affect your body in the same way as refined sugar do.
So the question is: “WHAT TO EAT?”:
Your body was designed to eat natural foods as they are found in nature, carbohydrates that are grown from the ground, not artificial substances that are created in a lab.
